Cherry Blossoms and Discovery Park Maternity Photo Session in Seattle

Cherry blossoms were a complete incident for this maternity session. The original plan was to shoot at Discovery Park only.

What happened was that I got a notification on my phone that I-90 was going to be closed due to avalanche control. I had no choice but to leave really early so I could get to the west side without any issues.

I got to the west side around 1pm and the photo shoot was around 4pm. So as you can see I had plenty of time to kill. I've decided to visit one of my favorite locations in Seattle which is Washington Park Arboretum. It's a huge botanical garden filled with pretty trails and water features.

Once I got there I got a pleasant surprise. Cherry blossoms were in full bloom!!! How exciting!!! I called my client right away and asked her to come and meet me at the gardens first. Since it was only twenty minutes away from our original location, she had no issues with it.

I got to take some beautiful pictures with the cherry blossoms and then we went on to Discovery Park where I was able to capture amazing pictures by the beach and the light house.

For some reason all photographers in Seattle decided to show up there as well. This made it very hard to take pictures without anyone being in the background. It took me a few hours to photoshop them out of the images. But, I think the final results are amazing!
